Founded in 1998, Propio Language Services provides interpreting and translation services across more than 350 languages for over 9,000 clients with a large staff and over 10,000 contract interpreters. Quality interpretation is critical to our success, and we seek Remote Contract Mandarin Interpreters who are passionate about helping people and using their language skills.

• Provides consecutive, first-person interpretation.
• Follows interpreter protocols and procedures as required by Propio L.S. clients.
• Follows all Propio L.S. policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
• Continuously improves vocabulary and specialized subject matter knowledge for various clients (medical, legal, social services, etc.).

• Submission of updated Resume in English at time of Application.
• Completion of English Language Proficiency with a rating of “technical proficiency” (3 or higher on the ILR scale).
• Successful completion of a Mockoral interpretation session with a passing score against 24 quality standards.
• Completion of Propio's online Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology Assessment with a passing score.
• Full Background Check and Security Screen.
• Signed commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and HIPAA compliance.

• 1+ years of interpreting experience.
