United Language Group is seeking fluent bilingual speakers as Independent Contractors for on-demand and pre-scheduled over-the-phone interpretations for Slovak.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Interpret between English and Slovak languages.
- Maintain the appropriate tone of voice, register and observe cultural nuances.
- Maintain professionalism through attitude, and interpreting service.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Must have a reliable phone line and an adequate work environment to process the calls.
- Remote (work-from-home).
- Proficient in English and Slovak languages.
- Strong knowledge of professional Code of Ethics and privacy laws (HIPAA).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain calm and compassionate when dealing with difficult people and crisis situations.
- Flexible availability.
- NBCMI or CCHI certification is preferred.
- Completion of a healthcare interpretation program or at least 2 years of consistent medical interpretation experience.
- Minimum (6) six months experience of over-the-phone interpretation.
