This part-time role involves providing professional Chinese interpretation and translation services for clients in the San Francisco Bay Area. The position includes both remote and in-person assignments based on project requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities may include facilitating communication in medical, legal, military, and community settings. The interpreter/translator will ensure accurate and culturally appropriate translations while maintaining confidentiality. Flexibility and high adaptability to work across different environments are essential.

• Fluency in both Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English, with advanced proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.
• Strong interpretation and translation skills with the ability to work accurately under time constraints or in fast-paced settings.
• Knowledge of cultural nuances and the ability to act as a cultural liaison when needed.
• Experience in areas such as healthcare, legal, military, or community interpreting is highly desirable.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated reliability, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
• A relevant certification in interpretation/translation or equivalent experience is preferred, but not required.
