Join Our TeamCLI is looking to contract experienced linguists for video remote interpreting from home. As an independent contractor, you will facilitate interpretation sessions over video, communicating across two languages with accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
If you live in the U.S., speak English and other languages fluently, have interpreting experience, and are dedicated to excellent customer service, you may qualify to join our team.
Requirements- 2 years of professional interpreting experience
- Medical interpreting experience
- National Interpreter Certification (NIC) from RID
- Fluent in American Sign Language and English
- Home workspace with a neutral background
- Desktop or laptop capable of running Windows 10 or MacOS 10.14+
- Mouse & Keyboard
- Google Chrome (Windows) or Safari (Mac)
- Webcam with minimum 240p resolution
- USB headset with microphone (no earbuds)
- Ethernet connection (no wireless)
- Internet speed of at least 500 Kbps up and 1.2 Mbps down
- Provide accurate, culturally appropriate interpretation via video
- Follow NCIHC’s code of ethics and standards
- Maintain professional demeanor
