Equipment Support & Testing Technician – Upper Peninsula & Northern Michigan

Election Source is searching for a positive, creative, detail-oriented person with technical experience for the position of Equipment Support & Testing Technician for the Upper Peninsula & Northern Michigan. This full‑time salaried position (plus commission) includes customer service, election equipment testing and maintenance, and sales opportunities for Election Source products and services.

• Service and maintenance of voting equipment in our facility and in the field
• Testing voting equipment at client locations
• Supporting sales and coding departments when needed
• Handling support calls from clients
• Proactively providing support to resolve customer product and service requests, and coordinating solutions to meet customer needs
• Processing product and service orders based on customer needs, requirements, warranties or contracts
• Collaborating with customers and internal departments to provide timely and accurate information and feedback on improving end‑user functionality
• Working with Election Source management to implement State of Michigan Bureau of Election updates and certifications
• Traveling to clerk association meetings
• Other assigned responsibilities as needed or required

• Associate’s degree or higher preferred, but not required
• Business experience involving customer service or technical support
• Demonstrated skills supporting complex technical product implementations and solutions
• Customer relations and sales experience preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of the elections industry preferred, but not required (we will train)
• Strong IT skills, both software and hardware
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with good presentation skills
• Strong organizational skills including multi‑tasking and time management
• Ability to establish and maintain business relationships with customers
• Ability to analyze problems and identify potential solutions and preventive measures
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
• Capability to work longer hours during election time
• Good driving record

• Self‑starter

• Pay:
  Starting $40,000.00 to $45,000.00 per year, plus commissions
