The Cantonese Interpreter facilitates communication between Cantonese and English speakers for medical clinical industries. This role involves handling on-demand calls, quickly processing information, and recognizing cultural nuances to overcome language barriers. This position does not involve written translation however translators and other skilled linguists are encouraged to apply. The interpreters translate verbally.

• Facilitates and delivers clear and precise interpretations for video and calls to facilitate clear communication for both parties.
• Handling high volumes of calls professionally in a dynamic call center setting.
• Utilizing your linguistic expertise to Medical Clinic Services or Industry.
• Promoting cultural awareness and sensitivity in all interactions.
• Upholding strict standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Adhering to scheduling commitments and actively participating in training.

• Fluency in Cantonese and English and skilled in the associated cultural dynamics.
• Excellent listening, retention and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy during interpretation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Having knowledge of medical terminologies is an advantage but not required.

Candidates who are currently employed by a client of Language Line Solutions or an affiliated Language Line Solutions business may not be eligible for consideration.

This is a remote position. The Interpreter works from his/her home-office. It is essential to ensure a quiet & secure environment.
