About the Opportunity
This opportunity is for experienced   Tamil Translators and Language Experts   with   native or near-native Tamil proficiency   , strong   English communication skills   , and expertise in   translation, linguistics, language evaluation, and cultural communication   to contribute to advanced   language and AI training projects   .
In this role, you'll apply your linguistic expertise to evaluate   Tamil translations, written content, audio recordings, pronunciation, fluency, grammar, and linguistic authenticity   . Your work will help improve the   translation quality, language understanding, speech generation, and communication capabilities   of next-generation AI systems.
No prior   AI experience   is required. Your   Tamil language expertise, translation skills, cultural knowledge, and attention to linguistic detail   are the primary qualifications for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Translate and review content between   Tamil and English   while preserving   meaning, context, tone, and intent   .
Evaluate   AI-generated Tamil translations, written content, and language outputs   for   accuracy, fluency, grammar, and cultural appropriateness   .
Assess   Tamil audio recordings and spoken language   for   pronunciation, intonation, accent, rhythm, and linguistic authenticity   .
Identify   translation errors, grammatical issues, unnatural phrasing, pronunciation problems, and linguistic inconsistencies   .
Apply knowledge of   Tamil cultural context, language conventions, regional variations, and commonly used expressions   when evaluating content.
Provide clear, structured   written feedback and evaluation justifications in English   .
Review and improve   AI-generated multilingual content and translations   .
Contribute linguistic insights to improve   AI language understanding, Tamil-language generation, and translation quality   .
Collaborate with project teams to maintain   linguistic accuracy, consistency, and quality standards   .

Required Qualifications
Native or near-native proficiency in Tamil   , with excellent   spoken and written communication skills   .
Strong proficiency in   English   , including the ability to provide clear written feedback.
Experience in   translation, interpretation, localization, linguistics, language teaching, or language quality evaluation   .
Strong understanding of   Tamil grammar, vocabulary, syntax, pronunciation, idiomatic expressions, and cultural conventions   .
Ability to evaluate   translation accuracy, fluency, tone, pronunciation, and linguistic authenticity   .
Excellent   attention to detail   and ability to identify subtle linguistic differences.
Ability to work independently in a   fully remote environment   .

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher   in   Tamil Language, Translation, Linguistics, Literature, Communications, or a related field   .
Professional experience in   Tamil-English translation, interpretation, or localization   .

Experience with   CAT tools, translation management systems, localization platforms, or terminology management tools   .
Background in   phonetics, speech science, voice evaluation, transcription, or audio analysis   .
Experience evaluating   AI-generated language content, translations, or speech outputs   .
Familiarity with   AI language models, language data annotation, or multilingual AI evaluation   .
Knowledge of   Tamil regional dialects and cultural communication styles   .
Compensation
Competitive compensation of $30–$65/hour.
