Become a Video Interpreter skilled in ASL and LSQ at Choice Translating, supporting effective communication remotely. This freelance position primarily serves clients in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Choice Translating is looking for passionate individuals fluent in ASL and LSQ to join their talented team. You will interpret real-time spoken communication and support the Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities while maintaining confidentiality and high standards of professionalism. Flexibility is key, as you will manage your own schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret spoken language in real-time using video

• Communicate effectively in ASL/LSQ and English

• Adhere to HIPAA and the interpreter Code of Ethics

• Schedule appointments flexibly based on availability

• Ensure high-quality interpretation service is provided

Requirements:

• Fully bilingual in ASL and/or LSQ and English

• Technologically adept and comfortable with video platforms

• High-speed internet access in a quiet environment

• High school diploma required; preferred college education

• Experience engaging with Deaf and hard-of-hearing clients
