You’ll be part of a collegial group of trial-focused lawyers specializing in civil and probate litigation
. The practice covers general liability defense, professional liability, trust & estate disputes, appeals, and more. The culture encourages intellectual curiosity, candid conversations, humor, and strong craftsmanship in every brief and motion.

• Take ownership of meaningful case segments in partnership with senior litigators
• Draft, argue, and brief motions (dispositive and non dispositive)
• Manage and respond to written discovery; take and defend depositions
• Litigate through trial, working directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
• Handle matters in civil litigation and probate/trust litigation, including:
  • General liability defense, professional liability, fee disputes, breach of contract, business torts
  • Probate administration, will contests, breach of fiduciary duty claims, conservatorships

• A J.D. and active membership of the California bar
• Litigation experience (civil and/or probate) that includes motion practice, depositions, discovery, and case strategy
• Excellent writing and research skills, sound judgment, strong organization (clean files, crisp timelines, zero missed deadlines)
• A calm, collaborative mindset, an interest in building systems, spotting edge issues, shipping high-quality work
• Bonus: experience in professional liability or insurance defense

• Base salary at $150,000 for a 1,750 billable hour minimum
