Total compensation package of $150,000 - $175,000+ (additional compensation above base pay is available and designed to reward both origination and exceptional client service)
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on estate planning, tax, and business succession strategies.
- Draft and review complex estate planning documents (must have experience with not only revocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, etc., but also complex irrevocable trusts for gift, charitable, and tax planning).
- Counsel clients on wealth transfer, charitable giving, and asset‑protection planning.
- Oversee trust and estate administration matters, as needed.
- Collaborate with firm partners on business development and firm growth initiatives.
- Manage and grow your own client relationships with firm support and shared resources.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school; active law license in Texas, free from any state bar investigations; licensure in a second jurisdiction preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in estate planning, tax, or related business planning practice.
- Experience counseling high‑net‑worth clients preferred.
- Partial book of business or established referral sources required.
- Excellent drafting, communication, and client management skills.
- High comfort level with technology (aside from the paper estate plans we produce, we are a paper‑free law firm with all files and documents being electronically maintained, accessed, and stored in the cloud).
- Growth mindset and desire to be part of a growing law firm.
$150,000 - $175,000+
