About the Role

We are seeking a Removal Defense Immigration Attorney with a strong commitment to advocacy and client service to join our Santa Ana team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience representing clients before the Immigration Court and a passion for helping individuals facing removal proceedings. Experience in federal immigration litigation is a plus but not required.

In this role, you'll handle a variety of immigration matters, develop case strategies, represent clients in court, and collaborate closely with our dedicated team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants. Key Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in removal proceedings, including Master Calendar, Bond Hearing and Individual Hearings.
  • Represent clients during USCIS interviews, ICE reports, and other immigration‑related proceedings.
  • Prepare and file motions, briefs, and supporting evidence before EOIR and USCIS.
  • Conduct client consultations and develop case strategies tailored to each client's situation.
  • Supervise and mentor paralegals to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in filings.
  • Manage deadlines and case progress to ensure timely filings and compliance with all requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent client service and efficient case management.
Qualifications
  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in any state in the United States.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Minimum one year of experience in immigration court proceedings.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of immigration matters, including family‑based petitions, humanitarian petitions, citizenship, detention, waivers (I‑601, I‑601A, etc.), appeals (AAO, EOIR, BIA).
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Mandarin Chinese is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills, with proficiency in legal databases and case management software.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management abilities, with the capacity to manage a busy caseload and meet strict deadlines.
  • Outstanding communication skills and commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
  • Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and lead a team of paralegals is preferred.
Compensation
  • Annual Salary: $90,000 - $125,000, commensurate with skills and experience.
