A growing family law practice serving clients throughout Washington State is seeking a skilled Family Law Paralegal to support attorneys in all phases of family law matters. This position is fully remote
, but candidates must reside in the Greater Seattle area or elsewhere in Washington for court familiarity and occasional in-person filings or local tasks if needed.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced with Washington family law procedures, filings, and case management systems.
Key Responsibilities- Draft and prepare family law pleadings, including petitions, responses, motions, and declarations.
- Draft parenting plans, child support worksheets, and financial documents.
- Draft discovery requests, responses, and subpoenas.
- Assist attorneys with case preparation for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial.
- Manage case calendars, deadlines, and court schedules.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel with professionalism.
- File documents electronically across Washington courts (eFiling).
- Support attorneys with billing entries and timekeeping.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and high level of client service in a remote environment.
- 3+ years of family law paralegal experience (experience in King, Pierce or Snohomish county required).
- Strong knowledge of Washington family law rules, procedures, forms, and local county practices.
- Excellent drafting, writing, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fully remote setting.
- Compassionate communication style and ability to work with sensitive client situations.
