Overview
At Corporate Tools, we believe legal strategy shouldn’t feel like a speed bump—it should drive the vehicle. We’re looking for a Legal Director who sees law not as paperwork, but as gameplay. You’ll lead a growing team of attorneys and own legal strategy across M&A, global expansion, government contracts, IP, real estate, and the occasional legal oddity. You’ll report directly to the COO and work closely with executives across departments.
This position is coded as Hybrid with occasional remote work. Ideally located in the Spokane–Coeur d’Alene metro area; candidates in surrounding communities within reasonable commuting distance are welcome. The person will work consistently from our Post Falls, Spokane, WA office to stay connected and participate in in-person meetings.
Up to $200,000/year + relocation package.

- Drive the legal direction of the company and shape strategy across the business
- Enhance our SaaS model, drive multiple acquisitions per year, and help create business strategy to compete
- Expand internationally in time
- Lead and develop the legal team; position the function as a critical strategic partner
- Be nimble and proactive in anticipating legal changes and planning accordingly
- Liaise with and coordinate government relations
- Handle Real Estate: negotiate, contract, and related activities
- Think beyond compliance to be business-minded and street smart in legal matters
- Manage IP portfolio strategy: planning and execution
- Manage direct and indirect legal processes and communications
- Communicate plans effectively to non-legal stakeholders
- Avoid analysis paralysis
- Previous litigation experience
- Law degree with 10+ years of progressive legal experience
- Experience being the legal decision maker in regards to business decisions
