Senior Family Lawyer (5+ Years Litigation Experience) – Hybrid | GTA & Simcoe
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: $180,000+ per year (plus performance-based bonus)
Progressive Legal Solutions (PLS) is a growing family law firm with offices in Richmond Hill and Barrie, serving the Greater Toronto Area and Simcoe County. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Family Law Lawyer with 5+ years of courtroom and litigation experience to take on a substantial caseload and help lead high-impact files with confidence and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of complex family law matters from intake through to resolution or trial
- Appear regularly before the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice
- Develop case strategies and lead negotiations, mediations, motions, and trials
- Draft and review separation agreements, cohabitation/prenuptial agreements, and court pleadings
- Provide clear, strategic legal advice to clients facing high-conflict or high-stakes matters
- Collaborate with colleagues and mentor junior lawyers where applicable
- A lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- 5+ years post-call experience focused on family law litigation
- Proven track record of managing files independently, including trials and contested hearings
- Strong knowledge of the Family Law Rules and Ontario litigation procedures
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
- Organized, self-directed, and motivated to deliver excellent results
- Comfortable using legal tech tools and practice management software (e.g. LEAP, Divorce Mate)
