Overview
Corporate Tools in Post Falls, Idaho is building a team of 5 +/- lawyers. We’re transitioning from firefighting to using legal decisions to drive the company and growth. This is a M-F 40 hours or less per week job. We don’t require employees to take emails home; we don’t work after hours. We believe in using work to pay for a lifestyle outside of working.
As one of our “The Lawyers” you’ll work with a curated group of lawyers to build from the ground up how we use legal to drive our company. Your work here WILL MATTER.
Wage$70,000 - $150,000 annual salary depending on relevant experience

- Trail Mix Bar
- Quarterback anything and everything legal. We handle registered agent service, corporate filings, software as a service, and operate physical locations in every state. You’d be the primary front line responder to legal matters and decide when to handle in-house or hire local/specialized counsel.
- Ensure we operate legally and ethically, assess risks, IP concerns, and compliance across tech, IP, and data privacy.
- Maintain trademarks and service marks in all states and federally; manage UDRP and ICANN registrations, complaints, and responses
- Maintain terms of service, privacy policies, and data retention policies
- Assist with HIPAA and PCI compliance
- Handle employment-related issues
- Respond to subpoenas
- Manage all vendor and client service agreements
- Support 3-4 acquisitions per year (stock or asset purchases); engage in large/complex deals
- Provide legal support to all employees and managers for daily decisions
- Explore and help craft new business ventures in related legal services
- Help guide the company with smarter legal decisions
- Your direct report is the employees. Corporate Tools is a horizontal organization without a traditional C-suite chart.

- Some experience with HR, general business and commercial property law
- Strong academic credentials including a J.D. from an accredited law school and current bar license
- Competitive attitude; ability to move fast and make smart legal decisions
