Salary: £65,000 + depending on experience

Office-based (Bath) with 1 day working from home after successful completion of probation

An established and highly regarded law firm based in Bath is seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join its busy claimant Clinical Negligence team. The role has arisen due to a sustained increase in workload and offers the opportunity to act exclusively for claimants, representing individuals and families in complex, high‑value clinical negligence claims.

The successful candidate will manage a varied claimant caseload from inception through to conclusion, including cases involving birth injuries, misdiagnosis, surgical errors, and fatal claims, working closely with clients to provide a compassionate, thorough, and strategic service. Full secretarial support is provided, allowing solicitors to focus on case progression and client care.

The caseload will consist entirely of claimant clinical negligence matters, including (but not limited to):

• Birth Injury claims, including Third & Fourth Degree Tears
• Cancer Misdiagnosis and delayed diagnosis cases
• Brain Injury and Stroke claims
• Surgical Errors, including bile duct injuries and cholecystectomy claims
• Cauda Equina Syndrome and spinal injury claims
• Wrongful Diagnosis and delayed treatment matters
• Fatal Clinical Negligence claims

• Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE in claimant clinical negligence
• Proven experience managing claimant matters independently
• Strong client care skills with an empathetic and professional approach
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and case management abilities
• Ability to manage a busy caseload efficiently

• Claimant‑only clinical negligence work
• Full secretarial support
• Office‑based role in Bath
• 1 day working from home after probation
