Family Solicitor

Make a real impact in family law with a supportive, specialist team. Join a well-established firm and work on complex, meaningful cases while enjoying flexibility and professional development. As a Family Solicitor in their Staines‑Upon‑Thames office, you'll be part of an experienced care team handling public law children matters from pre‑proceedings to care proceedings. You'll work on challenging cases involving non‑accidental injuries, rare medical conditions, sexual abuse and neglect, and you'll undertake your own advocacy where appropriate.

This hybrid role offers a minimum of two office days per week, with remote working to support work‑life balance.

Your day‑to‑day will include:
  • Managing public law children cases from start to finish, including PLO and care proceedings.
  • Conducting advocacy in local courts (Guildford, Staines, West London) and covering hearings for colleagues when needed.
  • Advising on complex matters such as emergency protection orders, care orders, and special guardianship orders.
  • Supporting business development through networking and marketing in the local area.
We're looking for:
  • Qualified Solicitor with experience in family law, ideally public law children matters.
  • Advocacy skills and willingness to attend hearings.
  • Ability to manage complex, sensitive cases with professionalism and empathy.
  • Law Society Children Panel membership (or willingness to work towards accreditation).
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
What's in it for you:
  • Salary: £40,000 per annum.
  • Location:

    Staines‑Upon‑Thames (hybrid working model).
  • Permanent, full‑time role.
  • 28 days annual leave plus 10 days paid sick leave.
  • Practising Certificate renewal paid.
  • Law Society Children Panel Accreditation and re‑accreditation fees covered.
  • Pension scheme, cycle‑to‑work scheme, paid eye tests.
  • Access to CPD training, electronic library, and IT for remote working.
  • Supportive, friendly environment with genuine career development opportunities.
