Mom's Meals, headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, seeks a collaborative and mission driven leader to serve as its next Healthcare Contracting Attorney

As the organization approaches its 25th anniversary, it has been on a fast-paced growth trajectory, experiencing ten to thirty percent growth year over year and employing over 2,000 team members throughout the country.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a high-performing in-house legal team and work in a positive, open, and responsive team environment.

• Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and foster strong, compliant relationships with external stakeholders.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including payor contracts and commercial partnerships, in alignment with established approval matrices and corporate legal policies.
• Provide strategic legal guidance on healthcare contracting matters, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid requirements.
• Monitor evolving healthcare laws and regulations, proactively advising on contract updates and risk mitigation strategies.
• Drive improvements in internal contracting processes, policies, and systems for efficiency and scalability, maintain accurate contract databases and records, and participate in special projects as assigned.

• Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited school of law.
• 10+ years of experience in corporate or healthcare law with knowledge of Medicare and/or Medicaid insurance, state insurance and HMO regulations.
• Background in government contract law, health law, and/or managed care.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Preferred:
  Willingness to relocate to the Des Moines area; option to support the organization virtually working out of a home office environment, ideally in or near a community with easy access to Des Moines.
