Entry‑Level Contract‑to‑Hire Associate Attorney (Pre‑Litigation) – 100% Remote – California
OverviewWe are a growing employment‑law firm looking for a fully remote, contract‑to‑hire entry‑level attorney to join our pre‑litigation team. The position requires a California Bar license, California residency, and willingness to work a 3‑month contract with a path to a permanent direct‑hire role if performance meets expectations. The role is fully remote, flexible, and ideal for recent law graduates or early‑career lawyers eager to develop litigation and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities- Serve as a pre‑litigation attorney on our negotiation team, communicating with opposing counsel to explore settlement or mediation opportunities.
- Analyze claims and defenses, prepare pleadings, and advise clients on legal strategy.
- Work closely with senior attorneys to develop case outcomes and maintain client relationships.
- Attend virtual meetings with clients, counsel, and internal stakeholders to coordinate case strategy.
- California Bar license and California residency.
- Willingness to work a 3‑month contract before conversion to a permanent direct‑hire position.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Hourly rate $40‑$45 per hour.
- Expected commission of $2,000+ per month.
