Remote Paralegal; Insurance Defense

Pay

$50,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr (based on skills and experience)

Full‑time billable position. Annual billable hours requirement: 1,750.

Mid‑size national insurance defense and civil litigation law firm seeks a full‑time paralegal with 5+ years of experience in insurance defense billing. Remote work. The role is organized, detail oriented, team oriented, and hardworking.

• Prepare draft discovery and discovery responses.
• Prepare subpoenas and procure medical records requests.
• Conduct investigative background checks on parties in cases.
• Perform social media research.
• Correspond with expert witnesses and handle other similar paralegal duties.

• Minimum of five years of insurance defense experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word.
• Familiarity with Texas Civil Rules.
• Excellent communication, typing, computer, interpersonal skills and professional appearance.
• Ability to work cooperatively with a diverse group of professionals.
