The Associate Attorney position offers significant courtroom experience, with regular court appearances on behalf of the firm. This role is responsible for reviewing new claims and pleadings, managing a contested litigation queue, and handling litigation matters from start to finish. Associates gain substantial exposure to court procedures, the litigation process, internal controls, and client and firm policies.

This role does not have billable hour requirements and is structured to support work-life balance, professional development, and long-term career growth within the firm.

• Appear in court on behalf of the firm a minimum of three (3) days per week
• Review new claims placed with the firm to ensure compliance
• Review and sign pleadings prepared for court filing, including complaints and motions
• Draft motions and responses to contested matters, as needed
• Argue contested motions and conduct trials and arbitrations
• Manage telephonic and written communication with opposing counsel
• Prepare and respond to discovery and oversee counterclaims involving BG or its clients

• Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to the Illinois Bar (additional licenses in BG states are a plus)
• Computer Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience with Collection Master or a comparable case management system preferred
