Remote California Paralegal; Insurance Defense

Mid-size national insurance defense and civil litigation law firm seeks a full-time Paralegal with 5+ years of experience for our California offices. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, experienced, hardworking, enthusiastic, and team-oriented.

This is a full-time billable position requiring 1,750 annual billable hours. Prior experience with insurance defense billing is essential.

• Preparing draft discovery and discovery responses
• Preparing subpoenas
• Procuring and following up on medical records requests
• Conducting investigative background checks on parties in cases
• Social media research
• Corresponding with expert witnesses
• Other paralegal duties as assigned

• Minimum of five years of insurance defense experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word
• Knowledge of California Civil Rules
• Excellent communication, typing, computer, and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and ability to work cooperatively with diverse professionals
