The Oregon Department of Justice seeks an experienced paralegal to join the Civil Enforcement Division in Portland for a hybrid in‑office/remote position. The selected candidate will provide paralegal assistance to attorneys in the Economic Justice Section, primarily supporting consumer protection litigation while also handling other matters as business needs require. Training is conducted in person at the Portland legal office and requires a minimum of three days per week on‑site.
After training, the position offers a hybrid schedule that requires at least two days in the office and up to three days of remote work.
The Economic Justice Section includes the Department’s antitrust, false claims, privacy, and consumer protection teams. It investigates and civilly prosecutes violations of the Unlawful Trade Practices Act, the Oregon Antitrust Law, the Oregon False Claims Act, and the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act. In addition to deterring, stopping, and punishing unlawful conduct, the section educates consumers and businesses about their rights and obligations, operates a Consumer Protection Hotline, and helps resolve disputes informally.
The work aligns with the Attorney General’s priority of protecting seniors, consumers, and working families.
