Plakas Mannos, a leading law firm in Canton and Akron for more than 60 years, is growing. Our firm is looking for a full-time civil litigation paralegal, ideally with experience in civil litigation, for our Canton and Akron offices.
The ideal candidate’s qualifications include proficiency in various software applications, excellent communication skills, and the ability to empathize and work well with others. Candidates with bachelor’s degrees or paralegal degrees/certificates and one year of experience are preferred.
Responsibilities
Attending court trials, hearings, and mediations to present evidence through electronic trial presentation programsPreparing attorneys and court documents for hearings, depositions, mediation, arbitration, and trialsRequesting, reviewing, summarizing, indexing, and/or preparing document productions and exhibitsE-filing and/or filing physical documents with state and federal courtsPreparing, and modifying documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and emails using Microsoft 365 productsRequirements
Ideally experience as a paralegal; paralegal degree or paralegal certificationFamiliarity with legal documents and terminologyProficiency with Microsoft 365Ability to work with legal technologyOutstanding time-management and organizational skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong sense of discretionAttention to detail and accuracyTeamworkBenefits
