Full job description We’re a growing Family Law Firm dedicated to helping clients through some of life’s most challenging moments. We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional client service and strong legal support. As a key member of our team, you’ll work directly with attorneys on meaningful cases, contribute to trial preparation, and help ensure our clients feel supported every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, prepare, and organize legal documents and correspondence, including petitions, motions, declarations, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, legal briefs, and pretrial orders.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings and trials by assembling exhibits, conducting legal research, coordinating witnesses, and supporting client meetings.
- Conduct initial client interviews to gather and organize case facts.
- Maintain a well-structured case filing system to ensure all documents are accurate and easily accessible.
- Coordinate with process servers and manage subpoena drafting and delivery.
- Assist with mailings, court filings, and calendaring deadlines.
- Communicate professionally with clients to provide updates and support throughout their case.
- Minimum 2+ years of paralegal experience in Family Law (California required)
- Strong understanding of California Family Law, legal terminology, court procedures, and the California Code of Civil Procedure
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program (or equivalent advanced paralegal education)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management software (MyCase preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
