. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. California residency is not required (remote/hybrid options).
- Provide workers' compensation defense services for clients in California, with emphasis on proactive, responsive client service from assignment through resolution.
- Conduct legal research, analyze case facts, and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with strong written and verbal communication.
- Navigate a fully paperless environment and leverage web-based legal tools to manage cases, billing, and research.
- Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and partners to maintain professional relationships and deliver high-quality results.
- Experience:
Minimum one year of workers' compensation defense experience preferred; active California State Bar membership in good standing required. Defense Base Act/Longshore & Harbor Workers' Compensation experience is a plus. - Client-Focused Approach:
Proactive, responsive, and committed to delivering exceptional client service from assignment through resolution. - Skills & Expertise:
Strong research, analytical, and organizational abilities with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. - Technical Proficiency:
Comfortable navigating a fully paperless environment and leveraging web-based legal tools. - Professionalism &
