Overview
We’re contingency employment lawyers focused on maximum financial recovery for workers facing discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage violations. We move fast to restore stability, hold bad actors accountable, and deliver justice clients can actually feel. Our case types include race, sex, age, and disability discrimination; sexual harassment; whistle blower retaliation; FMLA interference; workers’ compensation retaliation; and pregnancy discrimination.
Our mission is to undo the economic harm of workplace discrimination.
What You’ll Accomplish- Case Value:
Achieve median settlement values at or above firm benchmarks for your case types (targets are shared during interviews). - Courtroom Performance:
Execute depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials that advance case value. - Client
Experience:
Maintain outstanding client feedback through consistent communication and transparency. We survey clients for feedback regularly. - Delegation Effectiveness:
You’ll provide fresh analysis, strategy, and advocacy; you’ll delegate the rest to your paralegal or case manager. - Process Adherence:
Our proprietary, technology-backed system for case advancement is central to practice. We’ll train you to use it and ask for your help to improve it. - Portfolio Growth:
Build capacity to manage an expanding caseload as you master our systems.
- Strategic Case Assessment: You see the full chessboard, identify pressure points, quantify damages early, and build strategies that drive favorable resolution.
- Persuasive Advocacy: Your writing moves people; your oral arguments command attention.
- Efficient Delegation: You give paralegals and case managers clear directions, timelines, and boundaries. You trust them to execute routine work so you can focus on strategic decisions.
- Client Relationship
Skills:
You’re the steady hand clients trust during the most stressful period of their professional lives. - Negotiation for Maximum Value: You know when to push, when to hold, and when to close.
- Teamwork (No Ego): You win as part of a team, not as a solo act.
- Impactful Agility: You find a way through obstacles and solve problems without waiting for permission.
- Relentless Excellence: You own outcomes completely and fix issues to prevent recurrences.
- Results-Driven: Every action connects to client recovery or firm growth.
- Radical Candor: You provide and receive feedback to improve without defensiveness.
- Freedom: You’re the leader of your practice inside our firm. You make strategic calls and deploy your support team.
- Fit: You’ll be the strategic lead on cases, supported by paralegals and case managers who handle execution.
- Flexibility: Hybrid or fully remote work with regular hours. Some weekends may be required when cases demand it.
- Rewards: Base compensation plus incentives tied to outcomes. Strong performers may earn more due to higher-value caseloads.
- Fun: We enjoy working together, celebrate wins, and tackle hard problems as a team.
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice in Minnesota (or currently eligible for admission)
- 4+ years litigation experience
Your overall litigation sense matters more than employment law experience—we can teach the subject matter. What we can’t teach:
- Strategic thinking under pressure
- Persuasive writing that moves outcomes
- The discipline to delegate effectively
- Client empathy combined with business judgment
- The drive to win cases, not just work them
- Reports to: Managing Attorney
- Your Team: You’ll lead a team that includes a paralegal and case manager; they handle execution while you drive strategy.
- Tools: Microsoft 365 and Hub Spot are our primary platforms. We develop custom AI tools for drafting and case analysis.
- Location: Hybrid—Minneapolis or remote with periodic in-person collaboration
