Job Overview:
A law firm located in Pasadena, CA, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its employment litigation team. This role is ideal for an attorney with foundational experience in wage and hour class actions and wrongful termination matters. The position offers flexibility, including remote work options within California, and exposure to a variety of impactful cases on behalf of employees.

Duties:

  • Handle wage and hour class actions and individual wrongful termination lawsuits
  • Draft and respond to discovery, motions, and pleadings
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda
  • Represent clients in depositions, mediations, and court appearances
  • Assist with case management from intake through resolution
  • Collaborate with a close-knit litigation team on trial preparation and strategy

    • Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in employment litigation, specifically on the plaintiff side
  • Admission to the California State Bar
  • Strong legal writing and analytical skills
  • Comfortable managing deadlines and working independently or collaboratively
  • Commitment to advocating for employee rights

    • Education:

    Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

    Certifications:

    Active member of the California Bar

    Skills:

  • Exceptional oral and written communication
  • Proficiency with litigation support tools and legal research platforms
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment under pressure
