Latitude is seeking skilled litigation attorneys with insurance defense and related litigation experience to join the in-house trial team of a national insurance company in Utah. In this role, attorneys will handle a variety of matters, including bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, among other insurance-related litigation.

Ideal candidates will have strong litigation skills and be experienced in conducting hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions. First or second chair jury trial experience is strongly preferred.

This is a remote position open to candidates who are both licensed and residing in Utah. The role offers an excellent opportunity to join a respected in-house legal team and play a key role in the defense for both the insured and the company.

• 5+ years of proven litigation experience, including conducting hearings, motions, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions
• Strong litigation-type skills, such as case strategy development, legal research, and the ability to manage complex disputes
• First or second chair jury trial experience is preferred
• Proven experience with insurance defense is preferred
• Capacity to collaborate, manage a substantial case load, and work effectively under pressure
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in state of Utah
• Outstanding references

Pay:
The annualized pay for this position ranges from $110,000 to $160,000 when calculated on a full-time basis.

Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).

In addition to pay, all Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
