Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms, is seeking to hire a Litigation Docket Clerk to support our litigation practice firmwide, serving as an integral part of our team.
This position can reside in any of the following offices:
San Francisco, Seattle, Silicon Valley (Palo Alto), Orange County, Century City, or Los Angeles, with a hybrid in‑office/remote working schedule. Flexibility to work overtime is required.
- Maintains the firm’s docket system for litigation lawyers practicing in multiple courts and jurisdictions.
- Identifies pertinent deadlines and prepares a master calendar of due dates for distribution to lawyers and staff.
- Obtains filing information from court clerks and online dockets.
- High school diploma or equivalent;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - At least one year of relevant litigation calendaring/docketing experience desired, preferably in a large law firm.
- Understanding of court docketing and calendaring procedures and familiarity with court filings and general rules of court for processing pleadings at the federal, state, and county level (strongly preferred).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced professional environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to new software programs;
Pro Law or comparable docketing software a plus.
For positions in Century City, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Seattle, the salary range is $55,500.00 – $88,800.00.
For positions in San Francisco and Silicon Valley, the salary range is $57,900.00 – $92,550.00.
Base salary will be determined during the interview process and may be outside of these ranges. Qualified candidates may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
