-based hedge funds, family offices, and broker-dealers. Hedge Legal has expertise in a wide range of trading documentation, including Prime Brokerage, ISDA Agreements, Uncleared Margin Rules Implementation, and Custodial Arrangements. They are committed to delivering tailored services that streamline negotiation processes for their clients in the financial industry.

This is a full-time remote position for a Lawyer/Associate  role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating trading and financing agreements, including Prime Brokerage, ISDA documentation, Futures Clearing, REPO agreements and treasury clearing. It may also include work related to loan documentation and implementation of new regulations into contracts. The associate will collaborate with clients to ensure agreements align with their interests and regulatory requirements.

The role also requires staying current on relevant financial regulations and trends to provide strategic advice. The position offers opportunities to contribute to the growth of a client-focused boutique law firm.

• Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating trading agreements such as loan agreements, ISDA, Prime Brokerage, and Futures Clearing Agreements
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating complex agreements and ensuring client objectives are met
• Effective communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills to work directly with clients and counter parties
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities
• Admission to practice law in Quebec or New York
• Experience in financial law, particularly within hedge funds or broker-dealer contexts, is highly advantageous
• 0 - 4 years of Bar
