Full‑time position located in Auburn Hills, MI. Base salary $150,000–$250,000 per year.
Our client is a full‑service law firm with over 160 years of experience, seven offices across Michigan, New York, and Washington, D.C., and more than 8,000 geographically diverse clients.
Major Responsibilities- Conduct thorough and high‑quality legal research.
- Assist with all areas of discovery—drafting requests, drafting responses, preparing initial disclosures, and witness preparation.
- Prepare legal briefs and pleadings.
- Work with partner‑level attorneys to determine documents, production methods, and vendor selection.
- Draft responses to EEOC and MDCR charges.
- Handle various aspects of employment‑related litigation, including motion hearings, mediations, and depositions.
- Prepare trial materials and attend pretrial, trial, and post‑trial proceedings.
- 2–4 years of experience in employment‑related litigation and client counseling.
- Excellent research, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience managing discovery and taking & defending depositions.
- Proficiency with online legal research services (e.g., Westlaw).
- Experience in traditional labor matters is a plus.
- Graduate of an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the Michigan State Bar, or eligible for prompt admission.
