Workers Compensation Defense Associate Attorney

We are a statewide established law firm dedicated to the defense of workers’ compensation claims and related litigation. Our practice works with risk managers, insurers, and claims administrators to provide strategic, detail‑oriented advocacy, strong preparation, and clear communication.

Location: Remote / Hybrid (California)

Employment Type: Full‑time

Base Pay Range: $140,000 – $220,000 per year

• Defend workers’ compensation claims in court and administrative hearings across California.
• Analyze case facts, statutes, and precedents to craft persuasive arguments.
• Prepare pleadings, discovery, settlement agreements, and trial exhibits.
• Communicate effectively with clients, medical providers, and insurers.
• Prioritize tasks to meet reasonable minimum billing requirements.
• Use case‑management software to maintain a paperless workflow.

• Licensed to practice law in California;
  California State Bar in good standing (required).
• Minimum 2–5 years of defense experience in workers’ compensation or related litigation.
• Personable and friendly character; confident, articulate, and persuasive in speech and writing.
• Tech‑savvy: proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and case‑management systems.
• Able to identify urgency and prioritize tasks accordingly.
