    • What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

  • Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda
  • Render opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department
  • Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions/examinations before trial
  • Defend assigned matters by trial or dispositive hearing as applicable
  • Document files in a clear, concise, professional manner for various stakeholders

    • What is Required (Qualifications):

  • 2-6+ years of litigation experience in insurance/defense and/or personal injury
  • Juris Doctor degree
  • Admission to the California Bar
  • Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in California and meet mandatory Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements
  • Ability to travel as required, including attending trials, hearings, and meetings

    • How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Civil litigation experience
  • Experience in insurance defense-related litigation
  • Strong professional communication skills in person, via telephone, and in written correspondence/email
