Seeking a Partner-Level Attorney with a focus on Trucking Litigation to join our team serving Central, Upstate, and Western New York. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience handling trucking and transportation-related litigation. Candidates with 15-20 years of trucking litigation experience will also be considered, with the potential to build and expand a practice around the attorney.

This position requires a high level of initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage complex matters from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, deep industry knowledge, and clear, professional communication. The attorney will work collaboratively with attorneys across the firm's footprint and interact directly with trucking and transportation clients, insurers, and industry professionals throughout the region.

• Managing trucking and transportation litigation matters from inception through resolution across Central, Upstate, and Western New York.
• Defending trucking and transportation clients in high‑exposure, complex liability matters.
• Providing strategic guidance to clients on risk management, claims handling, and litigation strategy.
• Handling all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Collaborating with firm leadership and practice group members to grow and develop the trucking litigation practice in the region.
• Maintaining and expanding client relationships, including adherence to client guidelines and service expectations.
• Working with expert witnesses and industry professionals in accident reconstruction, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Managing deadlines and ensuring compliance with court and procedural requirements.
• Accurately recording and maintaining billable hours.

• Admission to practice in the State of New York is required.
• 10+ years of experience handling trucking and transportation-related litigation.
• An established trucking litigation practice is preferred, including an existing book of business in the $1M‑$2M range.
• Significant experience defending trucking and transportation clients.
• Active involvement with, or demonstrated experience working with, the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA).
• Exceptional analytical, strategic, and communication skills, with the ability to manage matters independently and mentor junior attorneys.
• Fully remote, 1900 billable requirement.
• Salary is open to negotiation.
