Paralegal – East Bay – Northern California
Hours: Flexible schedule – 40-hour week
Salary: $75,000 to $115,000 based on years of applicable experience
We are seeking a Paralegal with a minimum of 4 years of paralegal experience, with a strong background in mediations, arbitrations, and trials. We are a 40+-attorney firm, established in 1997, with a client base comprised primarily of public agency owners in areas of public construction, procurement and facilities, as well as private developers. We offer a fast-paced, collegial environment and provide and encourage increasing levels of challenge and responsibility for all staff and attorneys.
Candidate may elect between a blend of remote work with work at our Pleasanton office.
- Draft and proofread correspondence and memos
- Draft responses to pleading and discovery
- Assist in preparation of discovery
- Perform document production review
- Perform e-filings for California State Court and Federal Court
- Familiarity with local Superior Court rules and Federal Court rules
- Conduct basic legal research
- Able to provide document quality control
- Schedule hearings, depositions, conference rooms, and court reporters
- Coordinate communications with clients, scheduling, etc.
- Assist with all aspects of preparation for hearings and trials

SkillsComplete literacy of Microsoft Office and Adobe. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A strong multi-tasker, quick-learner and detail-oriented team player. Must have self-initiative skills. Knowledge of Westlaw a plus.
SoftwareThe firm provides various types of litigation support software to assist all staff and attorneys.
