• Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda
• Render opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department
• Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions and examinations under oath
• Defend by trial or dispositive hearing all matters assigned, as applicable
• Collaborate with various departments to facilitate effective communication and resolution of legal issues

• 2 to 6+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense and/or personal injury
• Juris Doctor degree
• Admission to the Georgia bar and licensed in good standing to practice law in Georgia
• Ability to travel as required for trials, hearings, and meetings
• Strong written communication skills for clear documentation of files

• Experience in civil litigation
• Experience in insurance defense-related litigation
• Ability to communicate professionally in person, via telephone, and through written correspondence
