• Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda
• Render opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department
• Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions and examinations
• Defend assigned matters by trial or dispositive hearing
• Document files in a clear and professional manner for all stakeholders

• 2-6+ years of litigation experience in insurance, defense, and/or personal injury
• Juris Doctor degree
• Admission to the California Bar and must be in good standing
• Ability to travel as required for trials, hearings, and meetings
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow complex instructions and resolve conflicts

• Civil litigation experience
• Experience in insurance defense-related litigation
• Ability to communicate professionally in person, via telephone, and through written correspondence
