As Residential Conveyancing Team Leader you’ll be at the heart of our client’s property department managing and developing a busy team while handling your own varied caseload. This dual role offers the perfect balance between leadership and technical conveyancing work, allowing you to utilise your full skill set.

• Leading and developing the residential conveyancing team, providing guidance, supervision and mentorship
• Managing your own caseload of residential property matters from instruction to completion
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, referrers and introducers
• Driving business development initiatives to grow the department’s client base
• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and firm policies
• Implementing best practices and improving team processes and efficiency
• Monitoring team performance and conducting regular file reviews

• Sale and purchase transactions (freehold and leasehold)
• New‑build developments
• Re‑mortgage transactions
• Equity release matters
• Transfer of equity
• Unregistered and registered land transactions

• Minimum 5 years experience in residential conveyancing within a UK law firm
• Proven team management or supervisory experience – you have successfully led or managed conveyancers previously
• Strong technical knowledge across all aspects of residential property law
• Excellent file management skills with the ability to handle a varied caseload independently
• Experience using case management systems (ideally but not essential: Case Manager Proclaim or similar)
• Outstanding business development and networking abilities – you should be comfortable building referral relationships
• Strong compliance awareness and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision whilst supporting your team

• CILEX CLC or solicitor qualification (though not essential for the right candidate)
• Established referral network or client following
• Experience implementing process improvements or training initiatives
