Commercial Transactions and Marketing Attorney
This is an opportunity to join a boutique tech law firm as a Commercial Transactions and Marketing Attorney. We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated attorney to help serve a fortune 500 tech client.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a commercial legal role, with a strong recent background in technology transactions and marketing review. The successful candidate will be provided with the client’s risk profile and escalations guidelines and will work with a collaborative and team‑orientated group of professionals. Experience negotiating with clients such as large tech companies and interacting with all levels of employees such as sourcing, legal, marketing, product, and third parties is ideal.
As a Commercial Transactions and Marketing Attorney, you will have the opportunity to:
- Review, draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including inbound technology and vendor contracts, professional service agreements, SaaS agreements, data processing addendums, AI‑related agreements, and NDAs.
- Handle marketing contract and asset review, including marketing agreements, sponsorship/partnership agreements, releases, licensing agreements, and offer terms and conditions.
- Advise clients on compliance and risk matters relating to transactions and marketing deals.
- J.D., LL.B., or LL.M. from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction.
- At least 5 years’ recent experience in reviewing and negotiating complex agreements (emphasis in SaaS and technology deals ideal).
- Proven ability to close challenging deals in a remote working environment.
- Effective time management and the ability to manage priorities and workflow efficiently with minimal supervision.
- High quality work output, a strong desire to learn, and ability to ramp up quickly.
- Experience with data privacy, and knowledge of the TCPA ideal.
- Outstanding references required; some in‑house experience preferred, but not mandatory.
Hourly Wage: $110/hour - $145/hour. The actual wage offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
Remote PositionThis position is remote. Expected working hours per week will range from 15–30 hours at the beginning, with the option to increase hours after an initial period of working together. The initial engagement is currently expected to run until early fall 2026, with the possibility of extending depending on performance and client need.
