Oil & Gas Title Attorney; Fully Remote Texas Licensed

We are seeking an experienced Oil & Gas Title Attorney to assist with overflow Title Opinion work on a fully remote, contract basis. This role is ideal for attorneys who maintain their own practice, balance other professional commitments, or prefer flexible, project-based work. A minimum of two years’ experience drafting title opinions is required. Hours are flexible and based on your availability and the needs of the firm.

• Conduct comprehensive title examinations for oil and gas properties, including HBP, fee, and leasehold interests.
• Draft drilling, division order, and acquisition title opinions.
• Identify title defects and prepare clear, practical curative recommendations.
• Review and analyze Deeds, Leases, Assignments, Runsheets, Probate Records, and related title documents.

• Active license with the State Bar of Texas (required).
• 2+ years of oil and gas title examination and title opinion drafting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Texas oil and gas law.
• Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment using digital records and online research systems.
