This Legal team partners across every function at Life
360 to provide client‑focused legal services and advice that enable growth and efficiency for the Company’s consumer software and hardware business lines, as well as its new advertising initiatives. We collaborate closely with several teams, including Ads, Finance, Product, Privacy, Engineering, and Devices.
As Commercial Counsel at Life
360, you will report to the Deputy General Counsel for Commercial, Litigation and IP, and will work collaboratively with other attorneys on our team. In this role, you will negotiate and draft a wide variety of commercial and technology agreements, including sales agreements, procurement agreements, data and advertising agreements, DPAs, NDAs, and marketing and collaboration agreements.
For candidates based in the US, the salary range for this position is $163,000 to $237,000 USD. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Negotiate and draft a wide variety of commercial and technology agreements, including procurement agreements with small, medium, and enterprise vendors; advertising sales agreements; statements of work; insertion orders; DPAs and NDAs: marketing and collaboration agreements; and hardware sales and distribution agreements.
- Analyze and mitigate contractual risks.
- Manage contract intake and lifecycle processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable laws.
- Maintain and improve standard contract templates, playbooks, and practices to streamline legal operations.
- Build relationships and collaborate with teams across the company to understand business needs and translate them into effective commercial agreements.
- Support M&A activities, partnerships, and other strategic transactions as needed.
- 4+ years of legal experience, including at least 1 year of in‑house experience. Prefer a mix of law firm and in‑house, plus experience counseling consumer technology clients.
- Must have significant hands‑on experience negotiating and drafting agreements for software companies and/or hardware development companies, including familiarity with SaaS/PaaS agreements, and negotiating template global data processing addendums in commercial transactions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Detail‑oriented and able to manage large request volume while maintaining a collaborative environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, ability to exercise good judgment with information available.
- Proactive, solutions‑oriented, business‑friendly mindset.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and membership in at least one state bar.
