Associate Attorney - General Liability Defense - San Diego, CA

A well-respected national litigation firm is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney to join its San Diego office. This role offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement and is ideal for a motivated litigator looking for a long-term opportunity with meaningful growth, responsibility, and support. • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other litigation‑related documents.
• Appear at court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Independently manage a litigation caseload as part of a collaborative team.
• Handle matters from inception through resolution.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide regular status updates.
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups and offices to support case strategy.

• J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school.
• Active California Bar membership in good standing.
• 2+ years of defense litigation experience.
• Experience with general liability matters, including catastrophic injury, product liability, construction defect, habitability, transportation, or related areas.
• Experience drafting discovery and pretrial motions required.
• Experience with court appearances and depositions; trial experience a plus.
• Second‑chair trial experience preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
