BCI Special Agent – Crime Scene Unit (Remote – Headquarters: London, OH; Relocation within 90 days to selected counties)

The Ohio Attorney General’s Office is hiring an experienced BCI Special Agent to conduct criminal investigations, process crime scenes, develop informants, and provide investigative assistance both remotely and on the ground. The position is full‑time, offers a competitive hourly rate, and provides a comprehensive benefits package.

• Serve as case agent responsible for overt and/or covert criminal investigations.
• Perform field tasks including crime scene processing, subject, victim, and witness interviewing.
• Develop informants and confidential sources.
• Conduct raids, searches, and surveillance.
• Perform background investigations and make arrests.
• Collect, evaluate, and forward criminal intelligence information.
• Complete and submit investigative reports for criminal and administrative actions.
• Serve as liaison to and cooperate with local, state, federal, and other law‑enforcement agencies.
• Provide courtroom evidence and testify in court.
• Confere with prosecuting attorneys and deliver speeches or presentations to specialized audiences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Undergraduate degree in criminal justice, social sciences (criminology, sociology, psychology), or related field.
• OPOTC Peace Officer certification (or equivalent).
• Two (2) years of investigative experience with a law‑enforcement agency.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Or two (2) years as a BCI Investigator, Class No. 26130AG; OPOTC Peace Officer certification or equivalent.
• Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
