We are a plaintiff-focused litigation firm based in Wheeling, West Virginia, dedicated to advocating for individuals harmed by negligence, misconduct, and unfair insurance practices. Our practice concentrates on personal injury, insurance bad faith, and complex civil litigation.

Recently, our firm was part of a trial team that secured an $82 million jury verdict, underscoring the skill, preparation, and commitment we bring to every case—especially for clients who come to us during their most difficult moments.

We are a small but growing firm that values professionalism, trust, and results. Every team member plays a meaningful role, and we maintain high standards for our work while fostering a collaborative, respectful environment where effort and excellence are recognized and rewarded.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Plaintiff Attorney to join our litigation team. While our office is based in Wheeling, West Virginia, we are open to hybrid or remote work arrangements for the right candidate.

This attorney will work closely with the firm’s lead attorney and owner, handling plaintiff-side matters from intake through resolution. This is a hands‑on role with meaningful responsibility and direct involvement in high‑stakes litigation.

The ideal candidate is motivated, detail‑oriented, and passionate about representing injured clients with skill and integrity. This position offers the opportunity to grow alongside a firm that is expanding its reach and reputation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle all phases of litigation from intake through trial, including pre‑suit investigation, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation
  • Independently manage a caseload of plaintiff‑side personal injury, medical malpractice, and insurance bad faith matters
  • Develop case strategies grounded in West Virginia and Ohio law, insurance practices, and complex civil procedure
  • Review medical records, engage experts, prepare case evaluations, and develop detailed chronologies
  • Conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances (in person as required)
  • Collaborate with paralegals, experts, consultants, and co‑counsel to maximize case outcomes
  • Maintain consistent and transparent communication with clients
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and trial skills training
Required Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law in West Virginia (Ohio licensure is a plus but not required)
  • 3–7+ years of plaintiff‑side litigation experience (personal injury, trucking, insurance bad faith, or related civil litigation)
  • Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
