Associate Attorney - (Toxic Torts Defense) Los Angeles, CA

A premier multi-state firm is in search of an attorney to join its Los Angeles, California office. The ideal candidate must be an active member of the California State Bar with at least two years of experience as a litigation attorney, preferably with a focus on asbestos defense. This position offers a remote work arrangement, with the requirement that candidates reside in Los Angeles and can attend monthly office meetings.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Preference for experience in civil litigation or toxic tort/asbestos defense.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, research, and analytical abilities.
• Self-motivated with the capacity to prioritize tasks and handle a significant caseload independently.
• Ability to approach problems from innovative perspectives and devise unique solutions.
• Proficiency in working both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience in billing is necessary.

Job Duties:

• Managing cases from initial client contact through to trial, under the guidance of a supervising attorney.
• Preparation and response to discovery requests.
• Drafting and arguing motions, including dispositive motions.
• Conducting percipient and expert depositions.
• Providing trial preparation and support.
