The Role We are seeking an experienced Adult Social Care Solicitor to support the WMDC Adults Legal Team on a locum basis. This is a fully remote role, ideal for an experienced local authority lawyer comfortable managing their own caseload.

Key Responsibilities Advising on all aspects of adult social care law Handling matters including Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), and Court of Protection work Providing timely, pragmatic legal advice to adult social care teams Managing cases independently and meeting statutory deadlines Requirements Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive (CILEx) Proven experience in adult social care law within a local authority setting Strong knowledge of Care Act, MCA, DoLS, and COP proceedings Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment Why Apply Competitive hourly rate (£65 per hour) Long-term locum assignment Fully remote working Supportive and established adults legal team
