Legal Counsel, Lawyer
I am working with a fast-growing, specialist residential conveyancing firm that has built a strong reputation for efficiency, transparency and outstanding client service. Founded and led by highly experienced conveyancing professionals, the firm operates nationally and is known for combining deep technical expertise with streamlined processes and modern systems.
This is a rare remote opportunity to join a specialist conveyancing business in a flexible capacity, supporting the wider team during periods of annual leave and absence.
The role
The firm is seeking an experienced Conveyancer to provide cover across the team rather than holding a fixed personal caseload. You will step in to manage files at various stages, ensuring continuity of service and maintaining the firm's high standards of client care.
This role is ideally suited to a confident conveyancer who is comfortable picking up files quickly, working independently, and adapting to different matters and time frames.
Your work will primarily focus on freehold residential sales and purchases, with exposure to other transaction types where required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing residential conveyancing files during periods of staff absence or annual leave
- Progressing freehold sales and purchase transactions efficiently and accurately
- Reviewing files at varying stages and ensuring smooth handovers
- Communicating professionally with clients, agents, lenders and third parties
- Maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal processes
- Working closely with the wider team to ensure consistent service delivery
About you
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- At least 2 years' experience handling a full residential conveyancing caseload
- Strong experience in freehold sales and purchases
- The confidence to manage files autonomously with minimal supervision
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset
- The ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in a remote environment
Experience with leasehold or new build transactions is advantageous but not essential - training and support will be provided where needed.
Why consider this opportunity?
- Fully remote working, with flexibility built into the role
- Competitive salary and lucrative bonus scheme
- Support from experienced, specialist conveyancers
- Structured processes and systems that make remote working effective
- Exposure to a high-volume, well-run conveyancing operation
- Clear commitment to training, development and internal progression
The firm is headquartered in Yorkshire but operates nationally, offering the stability of an established business alongside the agility of a modern, growing practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced conveyancer seeking flexibility, variety and support, without the pressure of a permanent personal caseload.
