Regulatory Police Solicitor/Advocate or Barrister | Sussex/Remote

Regular Court Attendance in Brighton, East Sussex required

A highly regarded national law firm is seeking a dedicated Solicitor, Advocate or Barrister to join its Police Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on complex and impactful cases while providing the flexibility of remote working, with regular court attendance required in Brighton Wednesdays and surrounding areas.

You will be joining one of the largest Regulatory departments in the country with a stellar reputation for providing expert legal advice across a broad range of sectors, including health, the public sector, corporations and individuals. This role is predominantly advocacy-based, requiring regular attendance at Magistrates' courts in Sussex;
Brighton is a key location, with hearings sometimes scheduled in Surrey or further afield.

Your role will be to manage a caseload of approximately 100 civil protective order applications in the Magistrates' Court, including domestic violence protection orders, stalking protection orders, sexual harm prevention orders, sexual risk orders, anti-social behaviour injunctions and closure orders.

You will be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a strong interest in regulatory and police law, accompanied by:

• Experience drafting and presenting cases in court
• Strong advocacy skills or a willingness to develop them
• Strong communication and IT proficiency
