As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Public Law Children Solicitor - Team Leader to join our specialist Care team.

Practice Area: Childcare - Public law - Minimum 3-5 years PQE

The Opportunity:

You will take on a varied and interesting caseload, including:

  • Parent care matters
  • Special guardianship matters
  • Guardian matters
  • Regular work with the Senior Solicitors
  • Develop and support junior team members

This role offers the chance to step into or work towards a leadership position, with mentoring and progression pathways available.

What We're Looking For:

You're a motivated and compassionate solicitor, committed to upholding the rights of vulnerable individuals. You're ready to make an impact in a busy and meaningful area of law.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 1+ years of PQE in Childcare
  • Experience handling Parent care cases
  • Experience in children Guardian cases preferred but not a requirement
  • Experience in private law children matters preferred
  • Children panel membership preferred but not a requirement
  • Confident managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
  • Strong drafting, advocacy, and client communication skills
  • Familiarity with CCMS and legal aid processes (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
